Considerando cosa "dovuta" l'accesso di Fiorentina e Juventus alla fase a gironi della Champions (qui il quadro completo) ed una prima giornata dei vari campionati italiani secondo le aspettative (in Serie A preventivabili la sconfitta del Milan ed pareggio dell' Inter cosi' come quello tra bianconeri e viola, in B ed Lega Pro Vicenza e Verona confermano che anche questa sara' una stagione di sudore e lacrime per evitar la retrocessione) le notizie grosse arrivano dalla Premier dove, nonostante l'inizio buono di stagione, Alan Cubishley ha rassegnato le dimissioni da manager del West Ham per via di dissapori con la proprieta' della squadra. Per il momento la panchina e' stata affidata a Kevin Keen ma entro breve dovrebbe esser reso noto il nome del nuovo allenatore (c'e' chi parla di un clamoroso "ritorno" di Paolo Di Canio).
La notizia stupisce soprattutto perche' non piu' di 5 mesi fa la societa' aveva dato l'incarico all'ormai ex allenatore di tagliare il monte stipendi (della cui vastita' era responsabile lo stesso Curbs) ma evidentemente le cessioni di Anton Ferdinand e George McCartney (che sembra, pero', trattate direttamente dal Club) non son bastate e l'atteggiamento (al limite della presunzione d'onnipotenza) dell' ex manager ha portato ai ferri corti le parti.
Quello che ha poco senso nella vicenda e' il fatto che non sia stata la societa' a decidere per l'esonero (che a parere modesto di chi scrive doveva avvenire a Marzo dell' anno scorso a qualificazione U.E.F.A ormai compromessa e salvezza acquisita) ma che il "fardello" sia toccato a Curbs. Un modo decisamente poco professionale di fare le cose. Ad ogni modo vedremo gli sviluppi sperando che la situazione d'instabilita' non pesi troppo sulla squadra gia' impoverita di valori tecnici dall'ultima campagna acquisti (anche se sarebbe piu' corretto dire vendite...).
Cambiando argomento stanotte comincia la grande stagione del Football Americano con la "classica" Giants-Redskins: cosi' da vedere subito i campioni in carica al debutto davanti al loro pubblico. Oakland invece esordira' Lunedi 08 ospitando Denver.

Considering a "line of duty" the admittance of Fiorentina and Juventus in the Champions League Group Stage (here the complete schedules) and a first week of the various italian competitions like the expectations (in Serie A predictables the defeat of Milan, the draw of Inter and also too the one between "Viola"and Bianconeri", in B and in Lega Pro Vicenza e Verona confirm that also the next will be a season with tears and sweat to avoid the relegation in lower series) the main news came from Premier where in spite of the good start of the season, Alan Cubishley resigned from West Ham manager a cause of disagreements with the team ownership. For now the charge it's been assigned to Kevin Keen but on short notice the name of the new manager will be released (there are rumours on a sensational "comeback" by Paolo Di Canio).
The story astonish especially because not more than 5 months ago the ownership gave the licence to the ,by now, ex manager to cut the salary cap (whom consistency was responsible Curbs on his own) but evidently the tranfers of Anton Ferdinand e George McCartney (but it seems were dealt straight by the Club) were not enough and the attitude (on border of omnipotence conceit) by the ex manager brought to the final cut the situation.
The senseless fact in the incident is that it wasn't the Club to decide for the sack (that in my mild opinion could be decided in March of the past season with the U.E.F.A qualification almost lost and the staying in Premier done) but that the burden was taken by Curbs. A no professional way to solve the matter. Anyway we follow the developments hoping that the unstable situation would not affect the already technical impoverished team left by the purchasing campaign (sales will be more correct to say...).
Talking about another subject tonight start the great season of the N.F.L. with the "classic" Giants-Redskins: so we can take a look to the 2008 Champions in front of their audience. Oakland debut instead will be Monday 08 at home against Denver.
